Skull and Bones Single-Player Narrative Content Confirmed by Ubisoft

Skull & Bones Narrative Content

Assassin’s Creed may have moved on from its pirate days but that doesn’t mean living out your pirate fantasies needs to end. Skull and Bones was announced at E3 this year as an excitable title featuring multiplayer sea combat. The game takes a note from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, which blended its intricate story and Assassin combat with its fluid and intense naval warfare. Without both parts meshing together, Black Flag could have sunk as a game rather that dominate the seas and hearts of gamers like it did. Ubisoft has taken note of this and confirmed that there will be Skull and Bones narrative content.

The confirmation comes from the game’s official FAQ page where Ubisoft explains:

We are building a narrative system which is completely integrated in the game and will not be something aside of the multiplayer experience. You will encounter iconic characters and memorable rival pirates. More details about the single player campaign will be shared at a later date.”

It appears that Ubisoft has definitely plans to integrate the narrative content into the multiplayer, though as mentioned – the specific details will be coming at a later date. The game’s reveal trailer did hint at some large battles and even a Kraken making an appearance, making speculation on the implementation of both game modes an incredibly fun experience. For now, fans will have to wait to find out more on the narrative details, stayed tuned in with DFTG because this is one title we do not want to miss.

Skull and Bones will release for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 sometime next year, a specific date has yet to be announced.
