Shovel Knight’s Shovel Blade Created In Real Life By Talented YouTuber (VIDEO)
The world of gamers is a diverse one whether some like to admit it or not, and with that comes various talents and skills. One channel on YouTube called Man At Arms are a team of talented blacksmiths that take their skills to the test by recreating pop culture weapons. Suffice to say – they are excellent. This week the guys have forged the Shovel Blade from the Shovel Knight series in all its utilitarian glory.
A life-sized replica of Shovel Knight‘s Shovel Blade looks exactly like what you would expect a shovel weapon to look like – dangerous and functional! The video goes into great detail about the shape, procedures, and materials used to create it. Look at that beautifully dyed blue leather! To see it for yourself, check it out below:
Toward the end there, the team members don full suits of cloth, leather, and metal armor and have at each other with regular shovels before one brings out the piece de resistance – the Shovel Blade. They took it one step further and showcased the blade’s sharpness by slicing through a watermelon, milk jug and several other inanimate objects with ease.
From anime to video games, the exceptional craftsmanship that the Man At Arms team have taken with each project is evident. Creations like Yasuo’s blade from League of Legends, Ryuko Matoi’s scissor blade from Kill la Kill, the Hate Scythe from Warframe, and much more have been forged, and they all look awesome.
