Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Resolution And Frame Rate Revealed For Xbox One X

Tomb Raider

Excitement abounds as news begins to trickle down about the hotly anticipated Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Xbox One X owners have especially been excited about rumors that the game would be in 4K and run at 60 frames per second. This is big in terms of current market trends because the typical 4K rate has been paired with 30 fps, or 1080p at 60 fps.

Running 4K at 60FPS would set the next Tomb Raider up to be one of the most stunning games to release. Already the game looks amazing and recent trailers suggest it will be the darkest installment to date. Unfortunately, it appears that the resolution is just that – a rumor.

Square Enix confirmed that they will be offering the standard 4K/30 fps and 1080p/60 fps options. According to the company, this would allow players to choose their resolution and performance to suit their needs. Both options will feature HDR and all of the extras the Xbox One X has to offer fans to enhance their gaming experience.

While PS4 Pro details have not been announced yet, it is expected they will be on par with Xbox One X in terms of features where variations in quality aren’t in question. Fans can expect the game to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Shadow of the Tomb Raider is expected to release September 14th. What are first impressions of Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Join in on the conversation in the comment section below! Don’t forget to follow DFTG on Twitter for live gaming and entertainment news 24/7!
