New Sea Of Thieves Update Adds Pets And Ship Cosmetics (VIDEO)
Sea of Thieves has been routinely updating the game with new content on a regular basis. The swashbuckling title has seen new bosses, ships, clothing, customization options, and more. Rare has also been adding new quest and activity content to the game, most recently with the Tall tale “Shores of Gold”. The developer recently uploaded a new Developer Update video to their YouTube channel to talk about a brand new update to the game. This patch will focus less on adding new activities for players to partake in, and more on cosmetic upgrades. Check out the video below:
As Executive Producer Joe Neate says in the video, Sea of Thieves players will get to own Pets to take on their own swashbuckling adventures. Pets can be purchased from the in-game microtransaction store, bringing more real money transactions to the service-based game. Rare did make a point to reassure players that they will never sell any kind of item that confers upon anyone an advantage. Stuff like pets, emotes, and social-focused items will be what to expect from the digital store in the future. Neate also talked about long term plans for the game. PvP players with controllers can queue in controller-only matches. Other refinements include improved hit registration for certain guns and a revisiting of the limited time Black Powder stashes.
