Sea of Thieves Dataminer Discovers What’s Next For The Shared World Pirate Adventure

With the Sea of Thieves beta test now extended because of rough seas, more and more adventuring spirits are hopping into the shared world created by RARE. Sure, some players are busy exploring the colorful lands and the interesting characters to meet – but others have a more determined goal in mind. Beneath the waves and booty to be found was an even better treasure to uncover and that’s just what one Sea of Thieves dataminer did during their time with the game’s beta.

Thanks to Reddit user m4rk, we now have a clearer look at what to expect come the title’s full launch. The beta period only gives us a tiny look and the wonderful world of grog and … er, bananas, but according to the uncovered coding found, we can now look forward to new creatures, new customisation, new maps, and even the Kraken! Basically, there’s going to be a lot to this game – which is no surprise given everything the team has shared so far. So without further adieu, here’s what the Sea of Thieves dataminer uncovered for us:

he general consensus on the beta is that the game is lacking content. With the response being that RARE is holding back parts of the game for release. Lets look at what other content is in the CBT Client?

Spoilers ahead:

ON GOING: I will be updating this thread as am able to do more with the files. Edit: I’ve hit a wall trying to decrypt the assets. I’m missing the decryption key, have an idea on how to extract it from the game’s memory but I have real work to do.
