Sea Of Thieves Anniversary Update Will Launch A New Golden Age In Piracy (VIDEO)
The team at Rare has announced the details for the upcoming anniversary update for Sea of Thieves. In all a new view showing off the new content, players get a glimpse at the new features that are coming their way. From a new PvP arena, to new ways in which you can deal deadly blows to your enemy, there are tons of new adventures and enhancements on its way to the Caribbean waterways. In addition to the video above, the team also detailed what players can expect in the Sea of Thieves Anniversary update, via Rare. To start with, glory awaits the salty pirates who dare set foot in the all-new PvP arena. A whole new “epic storyline” will be unlocked with the new journey into Tall Tales – Shores of Gold, which will help players fill their coffers. Unlock the long awaited fishing and cooking skills with the Hunter’s Call. Put captains should be wary as they traverse the seas, for new damage that your ship can take may inhibit your ability to sail.
Leading up to the release of the anniversary update, Rare also announced that the game would also feature special events to preview the new features – which are listed below:
Anniversary Preview: The Arena (Wednesday April 10th, 5pm BST/9am PT)
Find out more about the all-new competitive game mode that will let you and your friends test yourselves against other crews in fun and fast-paced matches to amass the most loot.
Anniversary Preview: The Hunter’s Call (Tuesday April 16th, 5pm BST/9am PT)
The Hunter’s Call is a new Trading Company that gives you more ways to play and progress towards Pirate Legend. Find out more about what you can do, the Company behind it and the rewards on offer.
Anniversary Preview: Tall Tales – Shores of Gold (Tuesday April 23rd, 5pm BST/9am PT)
This is Sea of Thieves like you’ve never seen it before. Tall Tales are a collection of story-rich quests that are played out in our shared world and can be fully experienced by yourself or with your crew. This first collection, Shores of Gold, invites you to embark on an epic adventure of love, honour and betrayal in search of the mythical Shores of Gold.
