Battlefield V 2019 Roadmap Reveals New Maps, Missions, And More

Battlefield V

We are only a couple days out from Battlefield V finally joining the battle royale bonanza that has been taking place over the past couple of years. That said, while many may be focusing on the upcoming game mode, the developers have decided to reveal what lies beyond Firestorm, and there is plenty of action inbound.

With the launch of the Battlefield V battle royale mode Firestorm, that will also introduce Chapter 3: Trial by Fire. “In April, fans of co-op can tackle added challenges with their friends as Combined Arms gets updated with matchmaking, two Fjell 652 map missions, and a Hardcore mode,” the EA website reads. “Squad up and show the AI troops who’s boss.”

Chapter 4: Defying the Odds will arrive in June 2019, bringing with it a ton of action for those who enjoy a more close-quarters approach. A new mode will be arriving, where players will “take on focused 5-vs-5 Battlefield V matches on tight arenas. Stay, fight, and accomplish more together with your squad across several battlefields designed exclusively for the mode.

“More details, such as the mode’s name, will be revealed further down the road. As for the the close-quarter map, its urban design has been sought after by the community and should feel both familiar and fresh at the same time.”

As for what Chapter 5 has to offer players, that will have to remain behind closed doors until later this year. However, the devs were kind enough to provide a brief description of what’s to come. “Get ready for a land, air, and sea invasion in a completely new theater of war,” the website reads. “As Battlefield V keeps on evolving, you’ll be awakening a giant when Chapter 5 hits in fall 2019.

“So, where will Chapter 5 take you? Where will you fight, who will you be, and what will we bring you from mankind’s greatest conflict? Time will tell. Rest assured, we’re committed to expanding your WW2 journey and Chapter 5 will truly broaden your horizons.”

And there you have it. Well, it’s more of a rundown of what’s to come in 2019 for Battlefield V players. For the full post on what’s inbound, that can be found right here.
