Screenshots From Upcoming PUBG Desert Map Released (GALLERY)

PUBG Desert Map

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds(PUBG) has been taking the gaming world by storm since it debuted in early access fashion on Steam back in March. While the game has been an absolute success thus far, it has done so with only one map. Sure, the area in question is rather massive and there are a lot of places to go, but after playing it for nearly eight months, a little variety would be nice. Thankfully, Brendan Greene and team are working on a PUBG desert map that is expected to arrive when the game leaves early access.

Greene recently took to Twitter to share the progress that the team has made on the upcoming desert map. Just like the one that is currently in-game, the sandy wasteland looks to be just as expansive. With four screenshots, PlayerUnknown added fuel to the flames that burn bright within players’ hearts. “The team at our office in Madison have been working hard on our new desert map, and today I am excited to share some new WIP screenshots of this new terrain…,” Greene stated in the tweet. He followed it up with a final image that can be seen at the top of the gallery below along with the original screenshots he shared:

While the battle royale genre is nothing new, Brendan Greene and Bluehole seem to have hit the mark with their last-man-standing title that pits players against 99 others with one objective in mind – survive. Well, that and attempt to bludgeon everyone else with a frying pan. We can only image the kind of chaos that awaits us in the PUBG desert map.

The new map will be released when version 1.0 of the game comes to PC, which is still on track for a late-December release. This will be shortly after the Xbox One sees a December 12 release for the game. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming news, check out the following:
