Sailor Moon Warrior Cosplay Arrives in Time To Beat the Con Season Rush
No convention is complete without a cosplay of Sailor Moon (and the rest of the scouts, respectively). But if you’re looking to really dazzle congoers next year, consider this art inspired costume!
WonderlandCorsets, designer of custom corsets and costumes, has recently posted this epic costume. The piece also comes with optional prop pieces for sale at a $975 for the costume, and $1550 for the entire set! Worry not if the size of the cosplay isn’t quite what you need, the company creates custom orders for anyone who is interested.
The costume’s individual pieces include a neck corset, under bust corset, skirt, breastplate, shoulder armor, upper arm cuff and forearm guard with optional staff, shield, and headpiece. The sizing for this beautifully intricate piece listed is B or C cup, 34″ with a 28″ waist and 38″ hips. The design can be made to your specifications, so if these aren’t your measurements, don’t worry, they’ve got you covered. (Pun intended.)
The costume is inspired by the work of NoFlutter, whose colorful art definitely has a Victorian flare. There are tons of designs out there for this franchise ranging from the standard outfit, to geisha inspired pieces, to NoFlutter’s own design for this particular costume – the one shown in the image below:
The creator used many different materials, including worbla, steel boned corset, EVA foam and multiple fabrics to get this desired look. As the piece comes together, the design and crafting materials used comes together to form a unique representation of a fandom that spans the world. Perfect for anyone looking to have that extra ‘wow’ factor for any cosplay event. Hell, I know some people that would want to wear this all the time and we don’t blame them one bit.
WonderlandCorsets is based out of Anaheim, California and has other corset style costumes and corset/garter designs available if you don’t have a particular design in mind. Their biggest selling point on the site is custom designs however and with this custom Sailor Moon warrior cosplay costume, it’s easy to see why.
What do you think of the cosplay? Does it do the fandom justice? Could you see yourself rocking that Sailor Moon pride? Sound off in the comments below!
