Respawn Entertainment Is Working On A New Single-Player Game
Respawn Entertainment has skyrocketed to the forefront of the gaming industry thanks to the critical success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as well as the ongoing popularity of Apex Legends. While fans are continuing to look forward to a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order and new content for the studio’s battle royale game, it’s been revealed that the developer is also putting together a “small but ambitious” team for a new single-player adventure game.
As reported by VG24/7, Respawn Entertainment is now hiring for a new single-player adventure game. The news comes by way of the project’s creative director, Mohammad Alavi, who recently took to Twitter to announce what the team is hiring for. “We’re developing a brand new singleplayer adventure from Respawn Entertainment,” Alavi wrote. “We’re a small, but ambitious team with a history of dreaming big and making splashes. Come work with us.”

As for what this new game could be, Alavi’s wording suggests that Respawn Entertainment is working on a new IP, and not, say, Titanfall 3 or the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Given that the latter game is an inevitability at this point, this is chiefly only disappointing for the legions of Titanfall fans that have been clamoring for a proper sequel for years. Alas, perhaps it isn’t meant to be. Still, anything is possible if there’s enough of a demand for it.
