Red Dead Redemption 2 Can Be Fully Played In First-Person

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar is well known for their use of the third person perspective in their games. With more and more information coming up about the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 title coming soon, many will be excited to learn that the upcoming sequel can be played in the first-person perspective right from the get go.

There’s something about playing in the first-person perspective that allows players to experience a game world in an entirely different way. In a recent hands-on reaction with IGN, it was revealed that players would be able to explore the Wild West and its frontier towns in Red Dead Redemption 2 through the eyes of Arthur Morgan, the game’s main protagonist. This revelation is a welcome surprise, giving players the ability to see the gorgeous environment from a more immersive standpoint.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to arrive on October 26th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Are you ready to look through the eyes of Arthur Morgan as you take on all the American Old West and its frontier towns? For more about the game itself:

“America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.”
