Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Release Date Revealed (VIDEO)
Fans were excited when Insomniac Games revealed that Ratchet & Clank would be returning for a brand new next-gen adventure, but we’ve only caught a few glimpses of the title since it was announced. That said, the developers have officially carved out a release date that is set for just a few months from now.
In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, creative director Marcus Smith confirmed when fans can expect to get their hands on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. According to Smith, the next-gen game will be arriving on June 11th exclusively for the PlayStation 5. This should hopefully provide plenty of time for more players to get their hands on the latest console from Sony. Check out the pre-order trailer for yourself below:
“Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a brand-new full-length adventure,” reads the description. “When the evil Dr. Nefarious uses a device that can access alternate dimensions to find a galaxy where he always wins, Ratchet and Clank are separated. As they try to reunite, they will meet a new Lombax resistance fighter, explore new and familiar locales (but with new dimensional twists!), and wield a whole new arsenal of out of this world weapons.”
As can be seen in the blog post, pre-orders for the upcoming game are currently live. Of course, there is more than just the game that will be available. Those who pre-order the game ($69) will receive an updated version of the Carbonox armor from 2003’s Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando as well as the Pixelizer weapon from 2016’s entry in the series. For those who wish to spend a bit more, the Digital Deluxe Edition ($79) comes with a handful of goodies, including:
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart game
- Five Armor Sets
- Photo Mode Sticker Pack
- 20 Raritanium (in-game upgrade materials)
- Digital Soundtrack
- Digital Art Book
