Rainbow Six Sieges Adds Two New Operators With Gameplay Trailer, Plus Tips On Strategy (VIDEO)
Over the last week, Ubisoft has been dropping a little bit of information on two new operators for their acclaimed 4v4 shooter, Rainbow Six Siege. We got a couple teaser trailers showing off what new defender Clash and new Attacker Maverick are capable of, but haven’t really seen what these new abilities will look like in the game. Until Now.
Coinciding with the end of the Paris Major tournament today, Ubisoft released a gameplay video showcasing these two new characters. First things first, these are two of the most unique and situational operators we’ve seen in the game thus far:
Maverick’s blowtorch could really be a boon to an attacking team looking to gain sightlines on unsuspecting opponents without causing a lot of noise. It seems to function similarly to the Laserkraftwerk from the Wolfenstein games. Players can pretty much draw holes in the walls to creates small openings they can pick off defenders in, making him useful for combined offensive efforts.
Clash, on the other hand, will be the first defender equipped with a shield. The new defender is completely invulnerable from attacks that facing her direction and offers side protection as well. Her shield features a Taser that wears down and slows opponents in front of her, it also seems to have a disorienting effect on its victims. She’ll be really useful for crowd control to draw enemy fire and have teammates backing her up to finish off unsuspecting attackers. She does have sidearms as well which will let her place the shield on her back. Having the shield on her back will protect her from damage, but it does retract so it won’t cover her legs, arms, or head.
Both of these operators will come as part of the Operation Grim Sky pack whose release date is not currently known.
We will certainly have news and first details on when that date will so be sure to follow us on Twitter for all Rainbow Six news and check out these other stories from Don’t Feed The Gamers
