Rainbow Six Siege Jäger Glitch Is Finally Getting Patched

Rainbow Six Siege Jäger

By now, fans of the shooter have noticed the Rainbow Six Siege Jäger glitch that has been causing an imbalance in the game of late. Among the issues are the loss of his ACOG sight when aiming, and the bullet-proof shield faceplate that prevents headshots. Ubisoft Montreal is planning to balance out the character and removing the exploits that break the game when this character is in play.

The Rainbow Six Siege Jäger glitch requires a series of inputs that generate a Ballistic Shield on the characters head. From there, the player can move relatively unimpeded around the map. The shield stays fixed on his head, rendering any headshot useless. It is obvious why this particular glitch is so problematic and needs attention.

A PC fix for the Rainbow Six Siege Jäger glitch is expected to roll out next week at the earliest. Console players, on the other hand, may have to wait a little longer for their patch to be released. According to a Ubisoft Reddit post, there are aspects of deploying the patch on a console that is making it difficult to complete the work. More than likely it means the patch will ride out with the next Mid-Season Reinforcements patch.

The Rainbow Six Siege Jäger head shield glitch isn’t the only one that requires certain button inputs. The comedic  Tachanka turret glitch is among others that may be in the queue for fixing as well. Siege is enjoying its 3rd year on PS4, Xbox One, and PC recently surpassing the 25 million lifetime players mark.
