Two New Pokemon Nintendo 2DS XL Handhelds Announced for November
There were quite a few exciting announcements during Nintendo’s most recent Direct, including dropping the bomb on us that both Wolfenstein and DOOM were being added to the line-up. As far as tech goes, the ever popular Pokemon franchise claims the spotlight once more as two new Pokemon Nintendo 2DS handheld systems were announced for this holiday season.
The first system announced was made to look like a rectangular version of the ever popular Pokeball – you can’t “catch ’em all” without one of these bad boys. The Pokeball version will be available this November 3rd and will be sold as an individual unit. Whether that changes between now and its release and becomes a bundle remains to be seen, but at this time – it is a standalone deal. The Pokeball edition will be available region-wide.
For Japan, however, there is a special Pikachu exclusive coming their way. Just like the previous one, and every special edition release thus far from the Big N, these are expected to go fast. For those not in Japan that are interested in the Pikachu style – third party retailers will still be selling them, so hopefully you know a little Japanese.
No new information, such as price, has been given at this time. Story still developing…
