Pokemon Home Celebrates First Week With Over 1.3 Million Downloads
Pokemon Home is the perfect app for any die-hard Pokemon Trainer out there. Whether you’re enjoying Sword or Shield on the Nintendo Switch or Pokemon Go on mobile devices, Home is a cloud service for all compatible devices that allows users to trade, move, receive mystery gifts, and more. So far, it’s proven to be a hit with the community.
In fact, Pokemon Home raked in more than 1.3 million downloads across the globe, according to Sensor Tower (via Prima Games) with nearly $2 million dollars in revenue from in-app purchases. Sensor Tower believes its inaugural success “could present potentially strong source of mobile revenue” for The Pokemon Company.
Based on the graph above, it looks like the United States and Japan are taking the lead! Furthermore, Pokemon Home features three types of subscription plans to cater to different levels of purchasing ability. So, if you want to join the bandwagon and give the app a try by purchasing a premium subscription, here’s what users can expect:
Nintendo eShop Price
- 1 month: $2.99
- 3 months: $4.99
- 12 months: $15.99
This probably isn’t ideal for casual players, but for those trying to be the best that no one ever was and to catch ’em all, Pokemon Home free or bought for monthly subscriptions doesn’t seem like a bad deal. In addition to features that allow Trainers to move and trade their pocket monsters, the app feature a National Pokedex, mystery gifts, a judge function, your own personal “room,” battle data, and news. Users can even collect points with each Pokemon deposit to exchange as Battle Points for mainline games. Pretty sweet, right?
