DOOM is a legendary first-person shooter (FPS) that began its reign of gory terror back in 1993. Since then, many titles have since joined the ranks of this brutal franchise marking it as a staple in gaming stardom. Demons, undead, and other horrors are just a few obstacles players have had to overcome through the years and now there’s an all new way to pay homage to this iconic classic: MiniDOOM.

MiniDOOM takes the world we know and fear and transforms it into a 2D platformer for a different perspective when stepping into an angry space marine’s shoes. The creators behind this epic parody used GameMaker Studio and … not going to lie, it actually looks pretty neat. The game itself is incredibly short coming in at a minuscule 11MB to download, so really – between that and the free 50 price tag, what do you have to lose?
