By this time, fans of Overwatch have become hyped up over the newest addition to the Overwatch Roster, Sombra. Today at BlizCon 2016 we finally get to see just what this hacker can do! Rated at a difficulty of 3 stars our new hacker friend looks like she is going to have some excellent crowd control abilities and may be even more effective at confusing enemy players than Tracer!

Sombra’s main weapon of choice is a machine pistol which fires a rapid short range spread causing maximum damage in minimal time. Sombra’s ability ‘Hack’ allows here to momentarily disable an enemies abilities or render a healthpack completely useless to an adversary. Sombra can become invisible for a short time while using her ‘Thermoptic Camo’ ability during which she also receives a considerable boost to movement speed. However using any abilities or attacks will prematurely deactivate the effects of ‘Thermoptic Camo’ possibly leaving her vulnerable.

In a similar fashion to Tracer’s ‘Rewind,’ Sombra has the ability to place a ‘Translocator’ beacon which she can instantly return to even if it is still in mid-air. Although I don’t believe it lets you regain lost health, you’re just changing position after all not moving backwards in time. And last but not least, Sombra’s super ability is of course an ‘E.M.P.’ Sombra’s ‘E.M.P.’ ability discharges an electromagnetic blast in a wide radius that deactivates barriers and shields and ‘Hacks’ all enemies and enemy equipment caught in the blast.

Stealth and debilitating attacks make Sombra a powerful infiltrator. Her hacking can disrupt her enemies, ensuring they’re easier to take out, while her EMP provides the upper hand against multiple foes at once. Sombra’s ability to Translocate and camouflage herself makes her a hard target to pin down.

Well it looks like the latest character to hit this popular title is going to be quite the utilitarian addition to any Overwatch squad. What do you think of the new abilities?
