Blizzard’s Overwatch Gets in the Halloween Spirit
Hello people of the internet, have I got some exciting news for you! Blizzard Entertainment’s hit, Overwatch, has a new seasonal event titled, Halloween Terror. The event is outlined on their website and is available from now until November 1st to give you all the epic thrills and chills that one can expect for Halloween.
Starting off we have new spooky skins for all our favorite characters. There is Junkenstein and Junkenstein’s Monster aka Junkrat and Roadhog, Mercy as a pretty bodacious witch, demon Hanzo, Skullyatta aka Zenyatta, immortal Solider 76, ghoul Ana, vampire Symmetra, Coldhardt aka Reinhardt, tombstone Bastion, possessed Pharah, Reaper looking like the Headless Horseman, and more.
Besides those creeptastic skins, in every candy filled Jack-O-latern loot box you will recieve one of over 100 customizations. There’s new profile icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, and more, like adorable trick or treater sprays that look like kids dressed as our heroes. Plus your first loot box is FREE!
The best part of this Overwatch event is the first ever PvE co-op brawl, Junkensteins Revenge! Straight from Blizzard’s website,
“Team up with three other players and face off against a host of eerie enemies, including Dr. Junkenstein himself, Junkenstein’s Monster, the Reaper, a mysterious witch, and host of shambling zomnics. Players will choose from the Alchemist (Ana), the Archer (Hanzo), the Gunslinger (McCree), or the Soldier (Soldier: 76) and defend Adlersbrunn castle’s doors against Dr. Junkenstein’s onslaught! Heroes will need to work together and develop strategies to withstand not only the advances of his macabre entourage, but also wave after wave of zomnic attacks.”
First you choose the difficulty at easy, medium, or hard. Next you choose from our four heroes, but only one of each so choose quickly! Once you start, the “Zomnics” start coming in waves. They don’t attack you, because their goal is to blow up the gate you are protecting, so shoot fast brothers and sisters!
If you haven’t yet, start checking out this Halloween event on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This event doesn’t affect normal gameplay, in case you were wondering. If you want to check out the trailer, check it out below. Happy haunting!
