Nintendo Switch Warping Issues Arise for Owners of the New Console
While the Nintendo Switch has been providing an amazing experience at home and on the go for many players, the first month of the device’s launch has not been without hiccups for some owners. Many Nintendo fans have been aware of the left joy-con disconnecting issues that has been plaguing some owners, and other issues such as dead pixels appearing on the tablet screen have also been reported. Now, a new issue recurring issue for a group of players may be arising in the form of Nintendo Switch warping issues.
A new Reddit thread has shown stories from several Nintendo Switch owners experiencing these warping issues, such as the device seen in the picture above. According to the user _NSR, their console seen above bent somewhat after playing on the device in dock mode for around 50 hours. Luckily though, it appears that the device still functions properly, largely due to the fact that it is not a disc-based device that would not be able to read the discs properly when bent. Other users have been commenting on this Reddit thread, with the same warping issues that they also believe may be due to prolonged time playing the device when docked.
It should be noted that there are other users in the Reddit thread that are reporting the opposite. One Redditor commented “120 hours exclusively in docked, no warping on mine. I’ll keep an eye on it though.” The prevailing theory seems to be that these warping units may just be faulty. While Nintendo has not officially commented on this issue yet, if anyone experiences this issue, it would perhaps be the best choice to request a replacement unit from Nintendo.
