Nintendo Reveals New Disney-Themed Switch Console
Limited time themed Nintendo Switch consoles have always done well for the Big N, due in no small part to the fact that Switch owners can show off their designs in public given the portable nature of the console. Now, Nintendo has unveiled yet another impressively designed Switch, this time featuring Disney characters in celebration of the upcoming Tsum Tsum Festival game.
The newly revealed console comes with some lovely pink and purple Joy-Cons, along with a Tsum-Tsum patterned dock. Additionally, the model itself features a longer battery life. Both of the Joy-Cons are patterned with hearts, diamonds, and Mickey Mouse ears, with another pair of ears shown over the home button. On the back of the console and on the left side of the dock are four Disney characters: Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, and Winnie the Pooh.
There is, unfortunately, a catch. So far, the only confirmed region that will be getting the exclusive Switch console is Japan, with a release date of October 10 of this year. That of course doesn’t mean that the West will never see it, it just means that, for now, those looking to pick one up will need to get it imported. For now, the themed Nintendo Switch is only being sold as a bundle, which includes the console, the pair of Joy-Cons, and the Tsum Tsum Festival game.
So, thoughts on the exclusive console? Hoping it’ll at some point become available for purchase in the West?
