WATCH: Night In The Woods Finally Gets A Nintendo Switch Release Date With New Trailer
Publisher Finji has released a Night in the Woods trailer that reveals the release date for the game on Nintendo Switch. Indie developer Infinite Fall created the game initially for the PC, Mac, Linux, and PlayStation 4 and are upping the console count as of today.
As seen in the Night in the Woods Switch trailer below, players take on the role of “Mae”, a cat who dropped out of college and moved home to Possum Springs. The game features a 2D environment and anthropomorphic animal characters that players can explore, even featuring astral projection as a mode of exploration within the game. Mini-games help players unwind and there are plenty of secrets to reveal! Check it out for yourself:
As seen in the video above, this game is a story-driven adventure game. The art style certainly makes the game interesting and enjoyable while lending itself to the games surreal atmosphere. Players will have the opportunity to make friends and uncover what lies beneath the surface of Possum Springs as they dive into the towns scenery.
It is unclear if the extended version of the game will be available as a part of, or in addition to the original title if at all. Players who want to get in on the action seen in the Night in the Woods Switch trailer will be able to pick up the Nintendo release on February 1st. Meanwhile, keep an eye out for the mobile version for iOS and Andriod expected sometime this year.
