New Wonder Woman Trailer Focuses on Diana’s Amazonian Origins (VIDEO)
A new action-packed Wonder Woman trailer has arrived! Premiering at tonight’s Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, the preview offers a look at Diana’s warrior upbringing as Princess of Themyscira, as well as a few quick shots of new footage. You can check out the trailer below:
The trailer begins on the all-female island of Themyscira as a young Diana is lectured in the ways of being an Amazon. It then flashes forward a few years where Diana, now an adult, finds and saves Steve Trevor from the ocean, as she does in previous trailers. From here, Trevor warns Themyscira of the impending danger a currently waging World War will bring to the island, which our hero firmly takes as a challenge.
We then see Steve Trevor take Diana to “jolly ol’ London”, to which the Amazon Princess reacts to as “hideous” in comparison to her lush tropical home. The rest of the trailer is an explosion of action shots and cool visuals of Diana suited up as Wonder Woman whooping some serious Axis (I know Axis is WWII, but it’s still a good pun!). Near the end of the trailer, a voiceover can be heard over the epic footage, where Diana declares in a rather heroic voice that the wrath of evil is over. Commence cheering!
