New Vegas Writer Stirs The Pot With Latest Teaser Pointing Towards Fallout News

Chris Avellone

For anybody who hasn’t heard of Chris Avellone before, he is an RPG master that has worked on titles such as Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II, Prey (2017), and System Shock (2018). Some of the works he’s most well known for however comes from the Fallout franchise, more specifically Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas. A new image which has popped up as his Facebook profile picture indicates something Fallout might be on the way.

The image features a figure hugging Fallout’s mascot, Vault-Boy, with text that reads “I missed you so much”. This could mean a great many things, it was the 20th anniversary of the first Fallout game on September 30th of this year and perhaps he’s simply joining the celebration. It could also mean something much more. With no facts on the table, fans have turned to speculation with theories such as the image indicating that Chris Avellone is going to be working with Obsidian Entertainment or Bethesda Softworks on a new Fallout game. This wouldn’t be too surprising considering the developer for New Vegas is open and willing to take on another Fallout project and the fan base is there to warrant such an endeavor.

Another thought is that Avellone might be making something for the Creation Club for Fallout 4, maybe a throwback to his days working on the series. For Fallout New Vegas, Avellone worked on a comic book within the same universe as the game, could he be working on something similar for a different title?
