New Tomb Raider Game Announced – “Lara Croft’s Defining Adventure”

New Tomb Raider

Fans of the adventures of Lara Croft needn’t worry when the next adrenaline rush will be revealed, as Square Enix has just announced that a new Tomb Raider game is in the works. Taking to Twitter, the company stated that they are taking a different approach this time around and that the official unveiling won’t be happening until next year. However, they were kind enough to let gamers in on the fact that it is happening.

With a new film around the corner, the heartfelt message arrived to give fans hope for the continuance of the game franchise. After being rebooted in 2013, the series has been chugging along stronger than ever. Check out the tweet below:

With a “major event” set for 2018, this is surely to reignite the flames of players’ appreciation for the franchise. After all, throwing “Lara Croft’s defining adventure” out there is certainly nothing to ignore. This would indicate that the new Tomb Raider is likely to be the biggest adventure yet. Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what Square Enix has in store for gamers.

Of course, it’s worth noting the way in which the company is taking on this situation. Instead of releasing a teaser trailer years before an actual release, they are playing it cool by just letting everyone know that something is in the works. Hats off to them for that.
