New PUBG Images Reveal Scenic Details Of The Upcoming Desert Map (GALLERY)

Details from the straight-shooting developers, hilarious glitches, and enjoyable gameplay, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds made a name for itself within the video game industry. In fact, it’s become so wildly popular that in the short time since its release even as an Early Access title, the game has been nominated for two separate categories for The Game Awards  – Game of the Year (GotY) and Best Ongoing Game. Even so, that doesn’t stop the studio from keeping on with the additions of content including their upcoming desert map. Brand new and exclusive PUBG images have been revealed from Nvidia, showing off scenic details of the soon-to-be addition. Surprise, there’s a lot of cacti.

Seen in the gallery above, the new PUBG images show of desert plains, cactus, buildings new and old to seek refuge in. There’s plenty of areas in the map to make use of that long-awaited climbing and vaulting mechanic the developers have been boasting since early October. Fortunately for those thinking “eh, it’s alright”, the screenshots are merely works in progress. More polishing will be done before an official release, but these high resolution progress shots aren’t bad at all.

There’s no word yet on when the desert map will make a debut on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, but it’s likely to happen after the VGAs.
