New PlayStation Social Hub Launched Today For PC And Mobile Platforms

This certainly felt like it came out of left-field, didn’t it? Despite that, Sony has big plans in store and it begins with “My PlayStation”. To bring together the users of the PlayStation network on a variety of platforms, the team has launched the PlayStation social hub dubbed the aforementioned, which introduces social media-like features for users everywhere. Here’s what the announcement had to say about the official launch:

Today we’re happy to announce the launch of My PlayStation, a new social destination on web. Conveniently access and engage with key PlayStation Network features on PC, Mac, mobile phones and tablets. It’s a great way to stay tapped in with your friends and the PlayStation community when you’re away from your PlayStation 4.”

It’s a way for gamers to keep in touch with other like-minded individuals within the community even when they’re away from the PS4! The new PlayStation social media hub is similar to other “Friends List” functions on consoles and clients that can be accessed from anywhere – mobile, tablets, and computers. Find friends, edit your profile, send direct messages and view achievement, trophies, and more. The general user interface is pretty sleek, and not unlike Microsoft designs current and past (aside from the iconic PS logo).

Still, it keeps its own identity. For computer users, the new PlayStation social hub can be accessed on most web browsers and operating systems including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, etc. The social hub is available for access right now; all you have to do is visit the official website here to get started.
