New Injustice 2 Swamp Thing Reveal Trailer Emerges (VIDEO)

Injustice 2 Swamp Thing

Like many fighting games, Injustice 2 has kept the momentum and hype for the game ongoing by sporadically revealing new characters and confirming returning fighters to the anticipated sequel. Originally, NetherRealm scheduled the newest Injustice 2 fighter character reveal for February 7th, but was forced to reschedule the announcement for February 13th. It appears that the studio kept to their word this time, as the newest fighter has now been revealed. The new Injustice 2 Swamp Thing reveal trailer is now live and shows off the humanoid/plant monster in action.

This new reveal trailer has been uploaded to IGN’s YouTube account, and shows Swamp Thing emerging from a swamp to bring the pain in a brawl with the hooded and sword-brandishing Robin. The creature’s towering size gives his fighting style the appearance matching the bruiser types of fighters that we have seen in the series. Swamp Thing’s connection to the fauna of his environment allows him to summon large vines from the ground and even extend the reach of his arms to grab and strike opponents. He also appears to enhance his fists and summon plant weapons, very akin to the morphing powers of the Battletoads.

Swamp Thing also appears to have the ability to briefly duplicate himself, not unlike Mortal Kombat’s Noob Saibot. He also has what might be a finishing move that shows him opening up a hole in the ground, bringing the opponent below the surface, and proceeding to strike him with large plant fists from multiple vantage points from within the cavern. These moves are fairly impressive, and one might find it acceptable to say that Swamp Thing is love and life. What do you guys think? Did you enjoy this Injustice 2 Swamp Thing reveal trailer?
