New Banjo Kazooie Game Could Be Announced Next Month (VIDEO)

The Banjo Kazooie games are one of the most cherished N64 series for platforming fans. Developers Rare LTD, also known for hits like Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark, endeared themselves to the hardcore Nintendo fanbase with a more agile character and fantastic level design. The two games were also known for their loud, colorful personality that was just as important in cementing the series’ legacy.

Currently, Rare is owned by Microsoft and has produced a third Banjo game, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, but the studio has moved on to developed titles like Kinect Sports Rivals and Sea of Thieves for the Xbox One. However, Banjo enthusiasts may have something to get excited about. One particular fan found an interesting easter egg in the Rare Replay version of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts that you’ll want to see. Going by the name VALEX, the fan has posited an interesting theory that seems to have a little bit of evidence to back up their claim:

The easter egg VALEX refers to can indeed be found in the game, as shown in this video from another user below:

Now the easter egg here might seem like it’s just a simple self-deprecating goof on Rare’s hands, but considering the X018 fan event is only a month away, there might be something to get excited about! The full print on the disc reads: “Bear and bird’s first adventure. Will anyone remember Nuts and Bolts in a decade? Come back in 2018 and find out.”

Hopefully, we “find out” something about a new Banjo Kazooie game then! X018 will be held on November 10th, 2018 in Mexico City and fans can watch the announcements via live stream on Inside Xbox.
