New Alola Pokémon Revealed in Sun & Moon Trailer (VIDEO)

We are just under a month away from the release of Pokémon Sun & Moon, the newest non-mobile, non-frenzy inducing entry in the Pokémon franchise. A recent trailer has revealed more new Alola region additions to the ever increasing roster of those monsters that send OCD players into a catching fever.

The first new Pokémon reveal is Silvally, the evolved from of the previously unveiled Type:Null Pokemon, who as his name suggested, had no prescribed type. It looks like this was the case because his evolved form is shown to have the RKS System, an ability which allows it to change type based on what items are being held. The trailer shows seventeen different colors that Silvally’s head feathers can turn to, each likely representing a different type, as well as his Multi-Attack ability, which will enable an attack matching the chosen type. This system will most definitely give the highly calculated Pokémon fans something to obsessively strategize over.

Also revealed in the trailer are Hakamo-o and Kommo-o, the Dragon/Fighting type evolved forms of the previously shown Jangmo-o, Steenee and Tsareena, the evolved forms of Grass Type Alola Pokémon Bounsweet, and Ribombee, the evolved form of Cutiefly.

In keeping with the tradition of the past few Sun & Moon trailers, we also have confirmation of new Alola forms from the Original Kanto Generation 1 Pokémon. Grimer and Muk now respectively have new green and multicolor looks to them in the Alola region, as well as a Poison Touch/Gluttony ability. As a gluttonous American consumer myself, I am most pleased with these toxic-waste looking reflections of our society.

The new trailer ends with the unveiling of two new rival trainers: Olivia, who has Rock type Pokemon, and Ilima, who specializes in normal types. All of these reveals are pointing to a heavily populated new region for Sun & Moon, which I am most excited for.

What do you guys think about the trailers so far? Is this a Pokemon series that you guys are feeling? If not, what would you like to see? Sound off in the comments below!
