There’s another way for gamers to enjoy their sweet Nintendo Switch. Later this year, Nintendo will launch a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) controller created just for their hybrid console. As a nostalgia-seeker, this respectful nod back to the classic gaming system is perfect. And according to Nintendo of America, players can “experience NES games the way they’re meant to be played.” What’s even better news than that? They’re available for pre-purchase right now!

The package comes with a two separate NES controllers with rechargeable batteries, which attach to the Nintendo Switch when the inevitable recoup time comes. When friends head on over for some much-needed gameage, there’s a spare that’ll be sitting around just for them. These bad boys are expected to release sometime in December. Though an exact release date has not been announced, they’ll likely arrive in time to be perfect stocking stuffers! According to Nintendo:

Available for purchase only by Nintendo Switch Online members*, this 2-pack of wireless controllers offers the perfect way to play these classic NES games online, either competitively or cooperatively.

Pre-purchase is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The general public will have to wait until they hit the shelves this holiday season. If you’re a member, all you need to do in log-in to a personal Nintendo Account to begin the process. With a limit of one unit per user, these are tagged with a price of $59.99 (USD).
