Fans of the third person shooter have something to get excited about this coming week as Nanos GbR, a mod development group, launches their Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod. It’s already in the Steam listing and is promising a lot of features for players to enjoy. Even though it was in open beta, the new addition will officially launch in its full glory next week.

The Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod is promising brawls, races, and stunts with all your friends and hundreds of other players. Multiplayer will include the usual skydiving and free-roam modes fans have appreciated from previous installments. There will definitely be a death match mode and duck boat races in the future as well. Check out their announcement video below:

Last year, there was the temporary death of the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod when lead designer Cameron Foote moved on to greener pastures. Developer Avalanche Studios, responsible for actual game, offered Foote a job and opportunity that he couldn’t turn down. Here’s what he had to say about leaving the project:

Several months ago, I was approached with an offer I couldn’t refuse: to join Avalanche Studios Sweden as a developer so that I could work on projects present and future. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, neither I or the rest of the team can actively pursue development on JC3-MP; our lives are just too busy to allow for it right now.”

It would seem that the Nanos GbR team pulled through enough to make it happen anyway. The Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod will be arriving July 20th, 2017 on PC. Avalanche is considering bringing mods to the console, which could mean more destructive fun for everyone in the future.
