The developer who helped revive the Deus Ex franchise may be starting on a brand new multiplayer game. Eidos Montreal’s website says under the job postings section that the studio is looking to hire individuals for what appears to be a major multiplayer project. Specifically the post is looking for individuals who can “support development teams to integrate and use multiplayer features”. They are looking for an experienced Network Programmer whose duties would include:

• Design and implement network systems for use in the Dawn Engine.
• Review, design and implement necessary changes to make existing systems multiplayer compatible.
• Implement, test and debug features on a multi-platform environment.
• Produce detailed documentation of implemented solutions and best practices.
• Support development teams to integrate and use multiplayer features.

The job posting also asks for experience with PS4 and Xbox One development. The Deus Ex developer was chosen as the central developer in the Square Enix and Marvel partnership, so could this be a hint of what is to come from it? Fans of the Deus Ex franchise know that the series is taking a break for now, therefore one can only assume this job posting is about the Square Enix partnership and that is truly exciting. More specifically, it might have everything to do with the Avengers game that is supposed to be one of the first games to come from the partnership. This is all just speculations however until the studio gives official confirmation.
