Mr. Robot Season 3 Trailer Released With Premiere Date Announcement (VIDEO)
After much critical praise and the winning of the best Emmy Awards for its lead actor and musical composition, creator Sam Esmail’s Mr. Robot has become one of the flagship original series on the USA Network. Last season ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, as its main character Elliot suffered a devastating blow after miscalculating whether or not the elusive Tyrell Wellick was a hallucination or not. Fans also showed concern over the series, considering a delay in the production schedule kept the new season from premiering in the summer like previous ones. Now, the USA Network has released the first official Mr. Robot Season 3 trailer which also confirms the new season’s premiere date.

The trailer seen above was uploaded to the official USA Network YouTube channel yesterday, giving a sneak peek at the events of the new season. The trailer confirms that Elliot does indeed survive the events of the season 2 finale, and will continue his hacking ventures while likely fighting off his Mr. Robot persona. We also see more of Tyrell Wellick, who will reportedly be a major player this season after being missing for most of season 2, and will have his time away from the audience’s view explored.
We also get our first look at new main cast member Bobby Cannavale, of Boardwalk Empire and Ant-Man fame, as Irving, who has only been described in press releases as a used car salesman, but appears to be much more in this trailer. This season looks like it will continue the warped, psychologically tense feeling that the series is known for.
