Monster of the Deep: FFXV Drops A Hilarious New Trailer That’s Delightfully Cheesy (VIDEO)
The latest entry into the Final Fantasy franchise, FFXV, has had some pretty impressive success since its November 2016 release. Tons of new missions and game modes have been added, and the hits just keep coming. Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV is the latest addition for those that own the PlayStation VR hardware. To celebrate its release, Square Enix has launched a trailer for the mini game in hilarious, albeit, unique way.
Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV will act as an extension to the fishing mini game found in FFXV. PlayStation VR player will be able to fish in virtual reality within the same universe as Noctis and his cohorts. Players will also get to create their very own Final Fantasy character to interact with NPCs from the game. Aside from normal and realistic fish to catch, players will also get to use lures to reel in some incredibly monstrous aquatic creatures. This takes the sport of catching fish to a whole new level, or as Square Enix puts it: an “Immersive Fantasy RPG VR Fishing Experience.” Check out the trailer below:
The trailer for Monster of the Deep in itself is a gem to behold. Presented in the fashion of every late-night infomercial you’ve ever seen, the trailer hits not so subtle comedy square on the head. Puns are either greatly appreciated or audibly groaned at, but the creators of the “As Seen On TV” style ad did not feel the need to hold back on the “dad jokes”. “Trust us, we’re not baiting you” is chuckle worthy, admit it.
Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV is available now for PSVR users. If you act now, this VR fishing game can be yours to download for one super low payment of $29.99. Final Fantasy XV is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. What did you think of the infomercial style trailer? Will you be picking up the FFXV fishing game?
