Minecraft Mass Effect Mash-Up Pack Now Available On All Platforms (VIDEO)

Minecraft Mass Effect

Massively popular sandbox title Minecraft has been released across every conceivable platform as of late, with even Sony getting in on the party with the debut of Bedrock Edition for the PlayStation 4. Though touting cross-platform play on every major platform, developer Mojang has only now made a key piece of content available on all of them: the Minecraft Mass Effect mash-up pack.

Yes, the epic space opera known as BioWare’s Mass Effect trilogy has finally made it to the Nintendo Switch, albeit in the form of a Minecraft skin and texture pack. Featuring 36 skins, menus, music, and a texture pack themed around the sci-fi franchise’s iconic locations, players can suit up as the likes of Commander Shephard, Liara, Garrus, and Grunt and live their best and blockiest Mass Effect life. Available now on the Minecraft Marketplace, Mojang has also released a trailer showing off the content featured in the Minecraft Mass Effect pack, which can be viewed below.

  • 36 Mass Effect character skins
  • All-new Mass Effect inspired game textures
  • Mass Effect themed menus
  • World featuring the Mars Base Camp
  • Mass Effect 3 soundtrack compilation

Those who may be having a case of deja vu may remember when this pack initially released back in 2013 with its release for Xbox 36o. However, the years since have seen it introduced elsewhere such as PlayStation 3 and 4 as well as Nintendo Wii U and Xbox One. Today marks the first time the pack is out on Nintendo Switch, finally allowing all Minecraft players to bask in its epic sci-fi glory. With this in mind, one can only hold out hope that the full Mass Effect trilogy might also make its way to Nintendo Switch.
