Microsoft Should “Invest In Teams, Empower Them Creatively”, Says Phil Spencer
There are plenty of third-party games for the Xbox One, especially for those enjoying the never-ending list of backwards compatibility titles on Xbox 360 games. One aspect that has been missing terribly since the days of the Halo and Fable series are first-party games and Microsoft hears the community. In fact, the head of Xbox Phil Spencer agrees wholeheartedly.
The Xbox fanbase aren’t afraid to tell it as it is, or just share some feedback with the people that make it all possible. Taking to Twitter, one fan sent in a particular request for more impactful games and series like Fable and Halo – “something fresh”. Of course, Spencer responded:
Is that all, that's a low bar 🙂 I hear you. Invest more, invest in teams, empower them to create deep worlds with interesting stories and characters and give them time.

Xbox is certainly making progressive steps toward understanding and accomplishing the desires of the fanbase. Whether it’s the integration of third-party Japanese titles like Yakuza or great intellectual properties from Sega, they have all the goodwill and intent on making it happen. With that being said, will they be able to actually do it? Developers are awaiting the arrival of E3 2018 to reveal any long-kept secrets, current projects, and goals for the future. With Microsoft’s personal showcase during this time, we’ll have to wait and see what the teams have under wraps.
Who knows, perhaps they’ve got some surprise titles in store. What do you think Xbox and Microsoft needs to focus on the most?
