New Xbox One Avatar Available Now, For Some – New Categories, Poses, And More

Microsoft initially announced their new Xbox Avatar editing system last year with the intention to bring tons of new and diverse options for customizing a user’s caricature. Instead of focusing on the realism of making the avatar look exactly like you, Xbox has decided that this new system will allow folks to represent themselves with a unique style, personality and get creative. They’re introducing new poses, brand new categories, and skin colors and complexions aliens from galaxies far, far away would be jealous of.

A few categories being added to the mix include a wider range of body types, appearance items and accessories such as make-up, fingernails, limbs, nose rings, and even moods. Instead of a few standard colors to choose from, each feature on the body can be customized with endless options. As a matter of fact, Microsoft boasts color combinations that skyrocket to trillions and up to eighty octillion possibilities. They’re not messing around here. Check out the Xbox Avatar editor’s color wheel and other options in the gallery below for a better look:

Of course, there will be additional props, selections of clothing, accessories and appearances to choose from as well. There’s even the option for gender-neutral clothing. It’s all about expressing yourself and Xbox was intent on making more inclusive and diverse options for everyone out there. Want to look like an alien race or stick true to a representation of in-real-life you? Go for it, why the hell not?
