Metro Exodus Cinematic Trailer Premieres At The Game Awards (VIDEO)
One of the biggest surprises at the Microsoft press conference at E3 earlier this year was the revelation of Metro Exodus, another sequel in the 4A Games series based on the Metro novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The reveal confirmed that Exodus would continue the story that ended with Metro: Last Light’s Redemption ending and follow Artyom throughout a nuclear war-torn Russia. In the game, Artyom flees from the Metro in Russia, hence the apt Exodus title for the sequel. Now, a new Metro Exodus cinematic trailer has premiered at The Game Awards 2017, showing more of the frosted nuclear fallout that has befallen.

The Metro Exodus cinematic trailer, seen above from MKIceandFire’s YouTube channel, shows many shots of a snowy, war-torn Russia bereft of life, save for a traveling Artyom and the mutant creatures he attempts to avoid. Narration over the footage of Artyom traversing the wrecked city is provided by Anna, a character seen previously in the series who is now Artyom’s wife. She reassures Artyom that no one is left to help them and that the world they once knew is lost. She seems to express that she and The Metro are all that Artyom has left to fight for.
We then see Artyom investigate the area below the city, which leads him to discover a Soviet-era locomotive that Artyom successfully gets to operate again with coal power. Fans will see how the rest of Artyom’s new adventure goes when Metro Exodus releases in fall 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
