Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Release Date Seemingly Leaked (VIDEO)

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

During this past N7 Day celebration, BioWare’s beloved Mass Effect trilogy was announced to be getting the remastered treatment in the form of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The big reveal happened after months of speculation and is confirmed to include all of the trilogy’s add-on DLC as well as modern updates like 4K resolution, smoother frame rates, and a slew of visual enhancements. Holding a vague Spring 2021 window, a concrete release date has been unknown since the remaster compilation was announced. However, it appears a new retail leak may have unveiled new release information early.

According to a pair of recent store postings from the Singapore-based Shopitree and Indonesian outlet GSShop, it appears that Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is currently on track to release on March 12th, 2021. The discovery was initially shared by Twitter user Idle Sloth, with each listing containing the same release date information in the post. GSShop notably went the extra mile in sharing a video on the social media site, the footage also depicting the Legendary Edition release date in plain view.

Though this isn’t the first retail leak regarding Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, it does mark the first potential release date for the title, which had only previously teased a Spring 2021 launch. Little else is currently known about the new ME collection, but with a release date potentially coming in a few months, more information is likely to arrive all the sooner as well. In addition to this refresh of the original trilogy, BioWare is also knee-deep in an all-new entry, with franchise veterans and mainstay characters set to return for the new series installment.
