Newest Mass Effect Andromeda Initiative Training Video Has Arrived!

BioWare has been getting everyone aboard the hype train for the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda with the Andromeda Initiative training videos. They are using them as a way to encourage fans to sign up for an EA account in order to receive information about everything Mass Effect and the videos are simulated to train new recruits for the Andromeda mission. The 3rd of these training videos was released today and it is too cool getting a peek into features of the game.

The Andromeda Initiative in the name of the project made to send multi-species civilians into the Andromeda Galaxy in order to establish a permanent settlement and create a reliable route between there and the Milky Way. On the website, they will be releasing new videos over a period of time until the game’s release. The first video was called Welcome/Orientation, the second was Arks & Nexus, and now we have Tempest & Nomad. If you complete all 6 of the briefing videos before the game’s release, you will get a special edition Pathfinder helmet for the game.

Tempest & Nomad starts off with the ship’s pilot introducing himself and explaining the features of your new home sweet ship, the Tempest. He boasts that the Tempest is the most light, stealthy, fastest ship in her class and is capable of crossing 13 lights years in a single day. The reason she is so fast is because there is no heavy armor or a main gun to weigh her down. Luckily, he assures us that enemies would never be able to find us… sure. The ship includes a research room, meeting room, engineering, armory, med bay, cargo bay, crew quarters, galley, pathfinder’s cabin, and of course the bridge.

When you are on the ground, you will move around with the Nomad rover. It features twin oxygen and hydrogen fuel cells that power an element zero core. It has independent suspension of all interchangeable wheels, whether you have 4 or 6. The Tempest also has a rear fuel injection booster and helium 3 micro thrusters. Its also got custom paint jobs and many other options that can be changed to adapt to your surroundings. While on a planet, you can also deploy mining drones to gather resources.
