Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 Story Continues In New Spider-Geddon Comic

Spider-Man

For those that have been enjoying the PlayStation 4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man, there’s a new adventure that will continue the incredible story from Insomniac Games – this time, we’re taking it back to comic books.

The comic is called Spider-Geddon #0 and was recently teased with the first few pages to show fans what’s on the way. Written by Christos Gage alongside Jed MacKay with art by Clayton Crain, Javier Garron and Israel Silva, the tale begins with Spider-Man swinging through the city of New York while listening to J. Jonah Jameson’s latest podcast. When Mary Jane gives the hero a call about a “maniac in a costume” robbing a bank in the financial district, Spidey can’t help but respond to the crisis.

The villain in question turns out to be none other than Tarantula; a super-villain traditionally known as a Patriotic enforcer for the oppressive dictatorship of a fictional South American country called Delvadia. After trading blows with the villain who is immune to the effects of Spidey’s shock webs, Parker is forced to use his Web Bomb in order to restrain Tarantula long enough to get a well placed punch in, knocking him unconscious. But of course, there’s always a twist:

Marvel’s Spider-Man has been a huge success as a PlayStation 4 exclusive and Insomniac has even teased the possibility of a sequel for the title. The Spider-Geddon comic is also available now for those interested in continuing their journey with Spidey.
