Marvel: Powers United VR Game Announced – Play as Captain Marvel, Deadpool, and More (VIDEO)
Have you ever wanted to know what the Incredible Hulk sees as he’s smashing through his enemies? What about Deadpool’s perspective as he slices, dices, and shoots his way through his opponents? Thanks to Marvel’s latest game Marvel: Powers United VR, players can experience what it’s like to be some of Marvel Comics’ heroes in Virtual Reality. Check out the announcement trailer below:
Powers United VR won’t be released until some time next year, but so far the title looks to be one to get excited about. Upon the announcement, the confirmed roster of playable characters includes Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Rocket Raccoon. The three characters offer very different play styles as Hulk is all about smashing the enemies with his bare hands, while Rocket relies on an arsenal of high-tech weaponry. Captain Marvel is somewhere in between, mixing her abilities with her hand-to-hand combat skills.
San Diego Comic-Con usually brings some fantastic surprises, and that still remains the case even with Marvel’s VR game. Announced during the festivities of the holy grail of pop culture conventions, Marvel: Powers United VR will also include everybody’s favorite regenerating degenerate, Deadpool. Players will be able to access Deadpool’s stockpile of weaponry including his katanas, multiple guns, and throwing stars. For the first time, fans will get to experience what it’s like to be the Merc with a Mouth from his perspective. Let’s hope they left the stuffed unicorns out of the game. You can check out some Deadpool gameplay below:
No official release date has been given as of yet, but players can expect Marvel: Powers United VR to land some time next year for Oculus Rift. Are you excited to play a Marvel VR game?
