Logic’s Latest Album Features A Solid Snake Cameo

Solid Snake Cameo Logic

As generations of youth that grew up on video game culture are now aging into their own right as the ground floor of mainstream media, the influence of games has been made more frequent. One such case of this is rapper Logic, who has made his love of nerdy franchises well known in his music, as well as his occasional acting appearance. For those not in the know, the rapper notably portrayed a character in last month’s The Last of Us: Part II. Well now, Logic has done it again with his latest, and final album, as one song features a Solid Snake cameo.

Logic’s newest album, No Pressure, was recently released on streaming services and the artist’s YouTube channel. Many listeners noticed that the intro track for the album, fittingly titled “No Pressure (intro), features a quick Solid Snake cameo. The Metal Gear Solid hero calls Logic on the codec, complete with signature ring, saying:

Hey Logic, Snake here. I hear you’re planning world domination through a new form of Metal Gear. Well, listen to me. It won’t work”

It has been confirmed that this is indeed voice actor David Hayter reprising his iconic role as Solid Snake. Hayter has returned to voice Snake for various web shows in the years that have followed his forced departure from the Metal Gear series by Konami, but it is great to see him return to it for what is clearly a loving tribute by a lifelong fan. Rapper Logic recently confirmed that No Pressure is his final rap album, and that he will instead be pursuing a career livestreaming on Twitch. There he will certainly be able to share more of his video game love with the world, and hopefully he brings David Hayter there for another guest appearance. It’s showtime, after all.
