Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson Wants To Be Samus In A Metroid Movie (VIDEO)

Brie Larson Metroid Movie

In the day and age of video games becoming more and more mainstream, there’s no shortage of film adaptations that are still attempting to please the gaming audience. Something about translating a game to film hasn’t always worked, but it isn’t for lack of trying. That said, fans are always quick to make their own castings, and one that comes to mind is Brie Larson as Samus in a Metroid movie. As it turns out, she wants that to happen as well.

During a recent episode of Animal Talking with Gary Whitta, the Captain Marvel star talked about gaming, especially now that she has her own YouTube channel up and running. While they were talking in the digital world of Animal Crossing, the topic of Brie Larson playing Samus popped up. “I would love that so much,” she said around the 46:16 minute mark in the video below. “So, I was Samus for Halloween two years ago… It was literally a $20 costume I bought off of Amazon, it was like nothing. I was so excited about it, and so I posted a picture of it on Instagram of me and the costume and it turned into this thing of people being like “woah!”

“She was always my character that I played in Super Smash Bros. and I just loved her,” Larson continued. “So that whole thing started and I’ve definitely not put a squash to that story and I definitely want to make that movie, I definitely want to participate in that. So, Nintendo, once again, I would love to do it!” Of course, the possibility of Larson playing Samus entered many minds, including the likes of notable digital artist BossLogic, who created this:
