Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Fans Have To “Wait A Bit Longer” For Updates (VIDEO)

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 Update

Knowledge of the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been rather scarce since it was revealed to be in development. That said, just before the prequel was announced, we learned that we will have to wait just a bit longer for more information about Breath of the Wild 2.

Nintendo dropped a surprise announcement on fans with a trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that takes place 100 years prior to the events of the 2017 title. However, just before the prequel was revealed, series producer Eiji Aonuma offered a bit of an update on the sequel by informing fans that they will have to wait for more updates on the game.

“We mentioned in the June 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation that we had started development on the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” Aonuma said. “Many people around the world are still playing Breath of the Wild, so I’d like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, everyone, thank you so much. Regarding the sequel, in order to make the vast world you enjoyed exploring in the original game even more impressive, the team is working hard on its development, so you’ll have to wait a bit longer before we can provide more updates.”

It may be unfortunate that we won’t be getting new information on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 just yet, but at least we are getting another installment in the long running series. Before BotW 2 arrives at some point in the future, we will be able to enjoy the first game as well as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which comes out on November 20th, on Nintendo Switch.
