Kingdoms Of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Delayed, New Expansion Announced (VIDEO)

kingdoms of amalur reckoning remaster

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is the remaster no one knew they wanted, but they certainly welcomed with open arms. After several long years, THQ Nordic and Kaiko games have teamed up to bring the Re-Reckoning. In an all-new trailer released by the publisher, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will face a slight delay in release date. Despite the unfortunate news, the team isn’t showing up empty-handed. In fact, there’s an all-new expansion coming too. Check out the trailer below:

Originally released in 2012 by Big Huge Games, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was the brainchild of R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane, and Ken Rolston – all renown creators and developers in their respective industry. Re-Reckoning is a remastered edition complete with enhanced visuals, refined gameplay, and additional content. It’s a story-driven role-playing game that explores the expansive fantasy world of Amalur – one that’s been ravaged by war.

According to the Kingdom of Amalur’s website, players assume the role as the first warrior to be resurrected from death’s touch. Explore the city of Rathir to vast regions like Dalentarth and the dungeons of the Brigand Hall Caverns. There’s politics, diplomacy, romance, and magic to discover as well. Re-Reckoning includes all DLC released for the original including Teeth of Naros, Legend of Dead Kel, and more.

Though reviews for the game were somewhat mixed, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has a soft spot in my heart for personal reasons. So I can’t wait to see how game studio Kaiko polishes it up for current generation platforms. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is scheduled to release on September 8th, 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Fatesworn is expected to release sometime in 2021.
