Kingdom Hearts Reference Discovered In World Of Warcraft

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth finally arrived last month, much to the excitement of both veteran and newcomers looking to sink their teeth into Blizzard’s latest expansion for its popular MMORPG. While most have been spent clearing the new content, leveling up, and acquiring new goodies, others have been exploring the new areas found within the expansion. One such player reported to Wowhead that they discovered a Kingdom Hearts reference in one of the new areas.

The reference in question can be found in Stormsong Valley, which just so happens to look thematically similar to Kingdom Heart’s Destiny Island. If players head to the southwest of Fort Daelin and climb to the top of a building in Thresher’s Wharf, they will discover three NPCs whose outfits strongly resemble that of Sora, Rikku, and Kairi. Granted, there’s only so much that can be done using the large, cumbersome characters within World of Warcraft, though the Kingdom Hearts reference is certainly plain to see for those paying attention. For those that would like the coordinates, the NPCs are at 24.72 54.33 in Stormsong Valley. We can only hope that heartless don’t invade while you’re hanging out with the NPCs.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is now available. Kingdom Hearts III arrives on January 25, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
