Fans of some killer action who may be looking for a game to play this weekend, you’re in luck! Tripwire Interactive’s title, Killing Floor 2, has a Free to Play event going on this weekend for both PlayStation 4 and PC, which offers up a great deal of action for your weekend plans. If you’re playing on PC, the game is free through Steam, while PS4 players will be able to download the title through the PlayStation Store.

Now depending on which system you’re playing on, your time with the free event may run a little differently. If you, for instance, decide to play the game on PC, you’ll be limited to just the weekend grinding your way through tough challenges and slaughtering enemies. Your free gameplay experience will end on March 26th at about 1pm PT (just in case you really need to plan out your weekend excursion of madness accordingly). If you plan on playing the game on PlayStation 4, however, the game remains free until March 28th.

A weekend doesn’t seem like much time to do some real damage, but don’t worry. If you end up liking the game, gamers will find that they can also purchase the game on both systems at a discounted price. For Steam gamers, Killing Floor 2 will be 50% off, running your tab around $15. A discounted price has also been applied to the PlayStation 4 copy of the game, but unfortunately, that price tag is going to be a little higher. With the game’s more recent release on PlayStation, the discount only drops the game to about $26, instead of PC’s $15 steal. Even still, that’s a decent enough sale so if you really do find yourself enjoying the game, make sure you snag it while the deal is still hot!

This is a great time to try out the game, especially after its recent update included such things as new weapons and enemies. If you haven’t had a chance to play either of the Killing Floor games, be sure you spend your weekend trying out Killing Floor 2 for some intense, gory fun!
