Hyrule Warriors Will Support Breath Of The Wild Amiibo Unlocks On Nintendo Switch

The Wii U hit game Hyrule Warriors is the Dynasty Warriors of the Zelda franchise and was developed by the very same studio as well. What other team could make a more perfect hack and slash title? Nobody, that’s who, which is exactly why Nintendo announced earlier this year that it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and will feature content from the console and 3DS version.

As if that wasn’t enough to bring the bloody glory to the Switch, the publisher just announced that Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will support The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Amiibo unlocks as well. That means Archer Link, Horseback Link, Zelda, and other select Amiibo collectibles will make their debut, but many have yet to be confirmed. It does seem likely that many of the same Amiibo collectibles support on the 3DS version (Hyrule Warriors Legends) will appear.

There simply isn’t enough enemies and and inanimate objects in the regular Zelda games to satisfy the aching for virtual destruction. Of course, playable characters from the original game will likely make their appearance in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition such as Medil, Linkle, Impa, Ghirahim, Lana and so many others. In fact, characters you probably wouldn’t even think of making a formidable warrior will likely take part. Yes, even Tingle made it to the Wii U at the time.
